A cover that you pull over an existing bicycle saddle and secure with an elastic edge. The outer layer is water-repellent and breathable, so the saddle is usable again more quickly after a shower. The 28-by-16-centimeter size fits most city and touring saddles.

Replacing a hard saddle costs money and time at the bike shop. Putting a cover over it provides a softer seating layer without changing anything on the bike itself. In the rain, it also helps by keeping water on the outside instead of letting it soak into the saddle upholstery.

Pull the cover over the saddle from front to back, then work the elastic edge all the way around under the saddle nose. The cover measures 28 × 16 × 2 centimeters; it fits more snugly on a wide Dutch bike saddle than on a narrow racing saddle. Wash it on a low-temperature cycle and let it air-dry instead of putting it in the dryer.
