Wooden Salt and Pepper Mills – From Coarse Over Steak to Fine in Sauce
Two wooden mills with an acrylic window, so you can see when they are running low. The grinding mechanism can be adjusted continuously from fine to coarse using a knob on top. The pepper mill has a steel mechanism, while the salt mill has a ceramic one that does not corrode.
Why choose wooden salt and pepper mills?
Pre-ground pepper loses its aroma in the jar, and salt clumps in a humid kitchen. Grinding fresh makes a noticeable difference to the flavor and takes two seconds. Wood also looks better on the table than a plastic shaker.
- Continuously adjustable grinding mechanism — from fine powder to coarse grains with a single turn of the knob.
- Steel and ceramic mechanisms — steel for pepper and ceramic for salt because it does not rust.
- Acrylic window — see how much is left without removing the lid.
- Height of 19 cm — large enough to hold comfortably, yet low enough for the table.
- Removable lid — refill from the top without making a mess.
Two mills that can stay on the table instead of being stored in the cupboard.
Turn the knob clockwise for a finer grind and counterclockwise for a coarser grind; set the pepper slightly coarser than the salt. Fill the mills with dry grains and keep moist herbs out, as they will stick to the mechanism. Wipe the wood with a dry cloth instead of holding it under the tap.
